Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

Check Out My New Moves

The day that we never thought would come has finally arrived. That's right Braxton has learned to crawl and our lives have changed forever! He found his new sense of independence on May 21st and has been going full blast ever since. We are really enjoying this new stage and have been working on "baby proofing" the house which is still a work in progress. I would like to say that everyone in the Craven household shares the same excitement, but I would be lying. Ryker is having to adjust to little B following him around the house, playing with his favorite doggy toys, and finding a place to call his own which is not easy these days. We keep telling Ryker that before long he and Braxton will become inseparable.

What's Been Going On?

At the end of March Braxton and I took our first plane ride to Spokane to spend some QT with Nana and Poppi. Braxton was a trooper on the bus ride to Seattle and slept the whole time on the plane ride to Spokane. Unfortunately, Braxton caught a nasty flu virus from our travels and was sick the whole week we were visiting. We worked as a team to get through the sleepless nights and by the end of the week we all were feeling under the weather. However, despite our illnesses we made the best of things and enjoyed the time together.

This Sunday we celebrated Braxton turning 9 months old! I still can't believe that he is only 3 months away from turning a year old!!! The thought of him no longer being a baby and becoming a toddler leaves me and Shane with mixed emotions. Right now he is currently into EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING goes straight to his mouth! The things that Braxton loves to do are stick out his tongue, wake his Daddy up in the morning, give his Daddy kisses on the mouth and big open kisses on my chin, roaring, blabbing, belly laughs, taking walks in the Bob, and sitting outside on the deck watching Ryker play. He has yet to crawl or sprout any teeth, but I am sure within the next month or two things will change.

Last but not least we added a new member to our family. No, not a dog, cat, or baby, but a new truck. Our beloved Dodge Dakota was replaced with a new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 Hemi.
It has everything that we could want and more! Shane is on cloud nine and still pinches himself that he has his dream truck.

As summer approaches we look forward to road trips, painting the house, lounging in the sun (yes, Bellingham does get sun), BBQ's with friends, and watching our son grow. We wish everyone a great spring and a wonderful beginning to summer.
