Braxton Myles

Now that Braxton is 3 years old we have seen more & more of his personality shine through. It is so much fun being a part of his life and we are blessed that he chose us to be his parents! At his latest dr.'s appointment he was 95% (around 40 inches) in height & 80% (36 lbs.) in weight! There is so much that he is interested in that I'll just list a few of his favorite things:

* Anything car related (nothing new about this interest...he has loved cars since he was born)
* Enjoys being a helper & doesn't seem to care what it is as long as he feels like he is helping us out! I think this will come in handy when his baby brother is born in a couple of months.
* Loves music & anytime he hears a song that he likes he says "that's my song" & dances to the beat! Too cute!
* Currently into playing baseball, basketball, & soccer with Shane in the yard before dinner.
* Favorite place to buy groceries is Trader Joe's. He LOVES pushing the little kid cart, filling it up, & unloading it! I love it because I don't have to do a thing and have my very own personal shopper :D
* Favorite foods to eat: pizza, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, green leaf salad, Trader Joe's green beans & humus, Sesame Noodles, meat & cheese sandwiches, ice cream, fruit smoothies, bean burritos, hot dogs, fruit (mostly melons, & raspberries), the list could go on.
* Favorite words: "me do it" & "me help"
* Loves playing with his work bench & pretending to call & talk to his grandparents & uncles.
* Finally, he is looking forward to starting preschool in Sept! Can't believe we are going to have a preschooler!!

Going to the Fair!

We had a blast attending our first Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden this year! So much to see & do it was sort of overwhelming to know where to start. Braxton loved being up close & personal with all of the farm animals! We ended our very hot day cooling off at the Visser's house!

Loved this display of American guitar's!

Braxton was excited to see that Otis made an appearance.
(Otis is a tractor in a children's book)

Checking out the cool tank with Dad

Cute baby chicks

This mama pig just gave birth to 16 little piglet's!
She looks a little hot & tired!

First Solo Road Trip

Braxton & I went for our first solo road trip together to Spokane to visit my parents. Not gonna lie I was a little nervous thinking about driving by myself for 6 hours across the state 6 months pregnant & testing the patience of a three year old. Thankfully I have a son who loves riding in the car and seeing the sites. There were plenty of big rigs, construction trucks, and fast looking cars to keep his mind occupied during our trip. It was a bitter sweet trip for me knowing that this would be the last time we'd get a chance to do something like this before our family of three turns into a family of four. While we were in Spokane we were blessed with warm & sunny weather which allowed for us to explore a few parks, take walks, ride bikes on my parents sport court, play ball, & cool off in the hot tub turned kiddy pool. It was a wonderful break in our daily routine of things & of course having the sunny summer weather was a refreshing break from the Northwest "summer" we've been having at home.

Braxton's favorite place, Discovery Park!

He loved that there was a trampoline in the ground

A lot of things to look at & climb on

I think we found one of the world's largest chair :D

We were able to connect with an old friend from high school,
Jami & her son Rowan!

Braxton's first time getting ice cream from an ice cream truck

Could these marshmallows BE any bigger?!

Enjoying the tub with Nanna & Poppi (aka Paw-he)
