Mini Trips

For the boys Spring Break Shane & I decided that we'd take a trip to Spokane to surprise my mom. When I say "we" I really mean me braving a 6 hours car ride with both boys driving across the state. The boys were absolutely awesome during the entire trip & it was really fun spending a week in Spokane.

We found Ty's block!

The boys had ice cream every day @ The Scoop

First year of preschool completed

Ty completed his first year of preschool last week! We are proud parents of all that he has learned, the friends that he has made, & how much he has grown as a person. It's hard to believe that this year has already come and gone.

Wenatchee

April was the month of mini trips for us! We headed to Wenatchee for a weekend to soak up some much needed Eastern Washington sunshine. We had a great time going to Pybus Market, visiting a new park, & taking the boys on the mini train at Riverfront Park.

Grama & Grampa took us a to a new park

Having fun with Grampa

I took a run to see my old neighborhood.
A lot of great memories of growing up in this house.

Another run to Shane's old neighborhood.
 A lot of good memories.

I love running along the canal in Wenatchee.
It's without a doubt my happy place.

I wish this place was around when I lived in Wenatchee.

Thanksgiving in Spokane & Christmas Tree Hunting

Thanksgiving we drove over the river & through the woods to Nanna & Poppi's house! It was a trek, but we had a great time seeing family. We spent a lot of time exploring the trails near my parents house, visiting with extended family (Aunt Laurie, Uncle Steve, Ryan & Craig), & having a very relaxing Thanksgiving vacation.

Getting ready to get our cooking on

Stretching out our legs before we dig into the Thanksgiving meal.
Beautiful trail near my parents house.

We loved spending time with everyone!

Found our Christmas tree at yet a different Tree farm. It's kinda fun going trying out different places around the county.

Boys were very happy to have finally found a tree so they could have a snack.

This year Braxton did most of the work cutting down our tree. Way to go B!

Christmas in Wenatchee

We have been wanting a "White Christmas" for such a long time. Well, our Christmas wish came true when we traveled to Grama & Grampa's house in Wenatchee for the holiday. Seriously, I don't think we could have asked for more snow!! Being back in Wenatchee for Christmas brought back SO many memories of growing up making sledding hills in the yard & yes driving around with other people who also know how to drive in the snow (sorry PNW peep's, but y'all freak out with less than an inch of snow on the ground. For reals). We truly had a wonderful time.

Driving into Leavenworth on Christmas Eve with the lights and snow.

There is something about unfocused lights on a tree that I can't get enough of.

Some things never change

Ready to head out to Christmas Eve service

Merry Christmas boys

Braxton finished his lego sets before the week was over.
He is such a brilliant boy!

He's my favorite in the history of EVER!

I couldn't let the boys have all the fun.

Safety first! Getting ready to crack open the rock &
see what cool gems are inside.
