Stoney Ridge Farm

One way to get in the mood for Fall when you live in Whatcom County is to go to Stoney Ridge Farm. The way the farm is decorated with pumpkins & apples galore along with the aroma of fresh baked donuts makes it an irresistible place to be! With that said the only down side is having to put up with the crowds of people who feel the same way I do :D Ty & I had a chance to go with our MOPS group on Thursday & then today Braxton didn't have school so we met up with two other families from B's kindergarten class.

Love how they had quotes written on random pumpkins on the farm

 Our favorite tree

I'm thinking he would get a blue ribbon at the fair for sure!

At least he isn't the smallest pumpkin in the patch

Love these girls!

Wizard of Oz

Braxton tried out for his first play two weekends ago & was cast as one of the "ferocious" flowers in the Wizard of Oz. We were in awe that he stepped out of his comfort zone a bit and stuck to committing to practicing 2 hours after school for majority of the week. The days were long, but very much worth the week of getting home after 5pm. The entire cast K-6th grade were amazing and the play was entertaining & very cute. Not sure he'll be up for it next year, but happy he tried.

Braxton's first day of Kindergarten

We can't believe we have a Kindergartner in the house! On the first day of school Braxton was all smiles, Ty hadn't a clue (but cute just the same), Shane was nothing but excited while I was a mixed bag of emotions. Knowing that Braxton would be spending Monday- Friday (9:25am-3:25pm) was a lot to take in. Thankfully Braxton has a wonderful & very kind teacher who makes everyone feel welcome right when they walk in the door. We are very excited for all that Braxton will learn this year & for the new friends that he'll make. Go Harmony Hawks!

My boys

Here are a few pictures I took last night in my attempts to get a few shoots of the boys looking cute and enjoying their last weekend before our busy fall schedule begins. Thankful for the sunny weekend we've had & for the boys putting up with me!

Fishermen

Braxton & Shane went fishing this morning & caught 7 Bluegills!! They were able to borrow a boat from Shane's buddy & fish at a new lake (upon request I can't say where the lake is located :D). Excited to eat something new tonight & I already know it'll taste great because it was caught with love.

Getting ready to go, but had to take a few pictures first.

Excited to try out the boat (thanks Tim Erfle)
