"Moving to the country gonna eat a lot of peaches..."

That's right we moved on Memorial weekend! It sure was a busy couple of days moving majority of what we own to our new place. We couldn't have done it without the help of our parents & friends who worked their butts off to make this move happen!! We felt very thankful for everyone's hard work. Moving was bitter sweet for us because our old house held so many wonderful memories and still feels like home. However, I can't control my excitement of how many memories we'll make here & raising our boys in such an open space couldn't be better for our family.

Happy 6 months!

Ty is 6 months old & getting stronger every day! He sits up by himself w/me close by, enjoys eating baby oatmeal, smiles like crazy, & loves being entertained by his big brother. Braxton will be done with preschool at the end of this month. We went on our first field trip with his class to a new park and had a blast watching him interact with his preschool buddies. We are busy getting ready to move in two weeks and I still seem to be in denial that I have to pack up my house. I guess I'm still holding out for moving elves to come. One can hope right?! Will make sure to post pictures of us moving and hopefully I'll have a picture of us relaxing on our deck with beer in hand...again one can hope?

Big Deals

Oh my goodness big things are happening right now. First of all we bought our dream house!! Funny thing is when we started looking for a new home we were dead set on living in town & wouldn't even consider looking outside of Bellingham. Then our Realtor convinced us to look at a house out in the county. He promised us it would be worth our while. Sure enough we fell head over heals for it!! This house has everything we were looking for in a home & much much more. We are very excited to move May 21st & God willing we'll have sold our home that we're living in now.

As for our boys big things are happening with them too. Braxton is now in underwear at night without accidents! We are thrilled to say the least & thought for sure he'd be in diapers at night until he was 15 (hehe). He only has one more month of preschool & then it's summer break. Can't believe he'll have completed his first year of preschool. Bittersweet time for us, but very exciting.

Ty is 5 months old & his personality is showing through more and more. The boy is so freak'n cute & his smile is something purely special. This week he decided that he no longer wants to be swaddled for naps or bedtime. I'm still a little sad, but will get over it soon. He is very interested in what we are eating & drinking so I'm thinking by next month he'll be very pleased to try out cereal for the first time.

Who needs a fancy chair when you've got a box?!

Braxton waiting for Shane to finish mowing the lawn. I guess he found comfort among all of the things I was trying to pack.

Ty finally grew into his wings (thanks Aunt Janet)

Happy Easter

Today has been wonderful! For starters no one was sick, we were able to make it to the early service at church (truly amazing that we looked halfway decent), it was sunny & warm, Ty celebrated his first Easter holiday, & we got to enjoy our first & last Easter Egg hunt at our house! Holidays are so much more fun when you have kids. For Shane & I it's just a good excuse to be a kid again ;D Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday with family & friends.

 Sweet!

 Happy 1st Easter Ty!

Happy Spring

To start the new season Ty turned 4 months & we had my cousin & his wife come to visit us from their new home in Seattle. Jenni & Ryan Loring (my mom's side of the family) recently moved from California to Seattle. We were finally able to connect & have them up for the day. It was so much fun to have them up & meet our boys!
Also, this month we had Ty's 4 month dr.'s appointment. He weighed 14lbs, 5oz (23%) & was 24 1/2 inches long (70%). Dr. Herdman was pleased with his health which is always nice to hear even if you already know.

 Love their faces!
