Big Deals

Oh my goodness big things are happening right now. First of all we bought our dream house!! Funny thing is when we started looking for a new home we were dead set on living in town & wouldn't even consider looking outside of Bellingham. Then our Realtor convinced us to look at a house out in the county. He promised us it would be worth our while. Sure enough we fell head over heals for it!! This house has everything we were looking for in a home & much much more. We are very excited to move May 21st & God willing we'll have sold our home that we're living in now.

As for our boys big things are happening with them too. Braxton is now in underwear at night without accidents! We are thrilled to say the least & thought for sure he'd be in diapers at night until he was 15 (hehe). He only has one more month of preschool & then it's summer break. Can't believe he'll have completed his first year of preschool. Bittersweet time for us, but very exciting.

Ty is 5 months old & his personality is showing through more and more. The boy is so freak'n cute & his smile is something purely special. This week he decided that he no longer wants to be swaddled for naps or bedtime. I'm still a little sad, but will get over it soon. He is very interested in what we are eating & drinking so I'm thinking by next month he'll be very pleased to try out cereal for the first time.

Who needs a fancy chair when you've got a box?!

Braxton waiting for Shane to finish mowing the lawn. I guess he found comfort among all of the things I was trying to pack.

Ty finally grew into his wings (thanks Aunt Janet)

I think this is pretty funny. Such a magical mural above our bath tub. Only thing missing is a flying unicorn...LOL!

Happy Easter

Today has been wonderful! For starters no one was sick, we were able to make it to the early service at church (truly amazing that we looked halfway decent), it was sunny & warm, Ty celebrated his first Easter holiday, & we got to enjoy our first & last Easter Egg hunt at our house! Holidays are so much more fun when you have kids. For Shane & I it's just a good excuse to be a kid again ;D Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday with family & friends.

 Sweet!

 Happy 1st Easter Ty!

Happy Spring

To start the new season Ty turned 4 months & we had my cousin & his wife come to visit us from their new home in Seattle. Jenni & Ryan Loring (my mom's side of the family) recently moved from California to Seattle. We were finally able to connect & have them up for the day. It was so much fun to have them up & meet our boys!
Also, this month we had Ty's 4 month dr.'s appointment. He weighed 14lbs, 5oz (23%) & was 24 1/2 inches long (70%). Dr. Herdman was pleased with his health which is always nice to hear even if you already know.

 Love their faces!

Pretty awesome to have so many phones to play with!

Where has the time gone?!

Braxton has grown like a weed and is nearly half my size! He is such a chatter box & is really starting to enjoy new things like playing "eye spy" in the car or pretending we're all in a band with Shane as the lead singer, me as the drummer, & B as the guitar player (Ty hasn't been included yet, but I'm thinking he is our #1 fan). He loves to pick out his own clothes in the morning & knows that on days when we have preschool I have the final say..lol! He loves baking, playing football or soccer, helping Shane with EVERYTHING, & helping me with Ty. As for Ty he is such a sweet baby! His smile lights up any room & is a chatter box as well. We think he might already be teething which crazy to think about! He is such a drool monster & will not pass up the chance to bite on your thumb or finger. As for sleeping through the night I shouldn't have bragged because he is now waking up once for a feeding, but I still can't complain :D Both Shane and I are in love with our boys to say the least!

Normal night time routine with Daddy

Love Ty's chubby thighs!

While I was vacuuming I found both boys asleep!
This NEVER happens!

It's serious time when we play spider-man & batman
(you can't see my cape, but I'm supposed to be batman)

Good Times

Seriously, Ty's 3 months is almost over & I swear the month just begun. It's been a busy month with family & friends visiting, play dates, & learning to sleep through the night! That's right folks my 3 month old sleeps through the night and we didn't have to do any work to make it happen!! Ty is a terrific sleeper just like his brother was at his age (wish I could say that now, but B has proven that he is an early riser...5am EVERY morning)! That's why there's coffee right? Every month seems to get a little easier with trying to balance two kiddos. I love our busy life as a family of four, but at the same time I wish time would stand still because these days are going by too fast!!

 Isn't she a natural?!
Can't wait to meet little Boreson in Sept!!

That's how they roll!
